Can a pool really float or lift out of the ground?
Yes. When groundwater is high and a pool is empty or lightly loaded, hydrostatic pressure can push up on the shell and, without engineered resistance, crack it, tilt it, or float it out of the ground. Where the site calls for it, we check the shell for uplift and size anchoring, ballast, or a hydrostatic relief valve to hold it down, based on your conditions rather than assumed.
What is equipotential bonding for a pool?
It is a code-required system that ties the conductive parts around a pool to the same electrical potential to reduce shock hazard. The required bonding points depend on the pool's construction and equipment, which we document for the permit.
Does a pool barrier need documentation for the permit?
Pool permits require a compliant barrier (fencing, gates, or approved alternatives) per the Florida Building Code and local rules. We include a barrier-compliance review with the bonding report so both are covered.
